Terms of service

Attic · last updated 2 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Attic ("we", "us") for use of the Attic app and service. By using Attic you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. Your privacy is covered separately in our privacy policy.

What Attic does

Attic restores old printed photographs. You photograph a print with your phone, we process it with AI models, and the restored image is returned to you and kept in the app's library on your device.

Restorations and credits

Payments and refunds

All purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store, under Apple's terms. We never see your card or payment details. Refunds are requested from Apple, not from us; if Apple refunds a purchase, we remove the matching credits. Nothing here limits any refund right you have under law.

Your photos and your responsibilities

About the restorations

Restorations are produced by AI models. They aim to be faithful to your original, but they are an interpretation, not a perfect reproduction, and results vary with the condition of the print. Restored images should not be relied on as an accurate record for legal, forensic, or identification purposes.

Featured photos

You may choose, per photo, to let us feature a restoration in our own marketing. This is off by default, entirely optional, and you can withdraw at any time. The details are in our privacy policy.

Availability

We work to keep Attic running, but we can't promise it will always be available or uninterrupted, and we may change, pause, or stop features. If we ever stop the service, credits you have already bought and not used may not be recoverable — another reason we sell credits in small packs rather than as a subscription.

Our responsibility to you

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or changes any right or remedy you have that cannot be excluded by law. To the extent the law allows, and apart from those guarantees, Attic is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from a restoration not meeting your expectations.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app changes. The current version always lives at this page, with the date it was last updated shown above. Continuing to use Attic after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia.
